Very beautiful and lovely train ride on this line. The greenery on both sides of the track makes this ride more pleasant. The view of the snow capped mountains in the short horizon makes this ride even more enjoyable and very pleasant. I look forward to the continuation of this ride beyond the last stop here. Thank you for your comment. If we use slide film from a while back, we can take photos with high contrast and saturation. If I had taken the photo earlier in the season and at an earlier time, I might have been able to see the mountains more clearly. This is my challenge for next year.
A beautiful afternoon ride on a not too busy line passing by farms and zipping through urban areas. It's kind of enjoyable to pause the speeding train to stop at all the local stations to pick up or drop off s few passengers. ❤😮😂🎉
This line was originally constructed as a private railway, and it has a different feel from the main line, with its steep curves, occasional steep gradients, and short stations.
Seems to be an interesting ride, I'm looking forward to the next parts... 🤗 The picture quality is also really good, I watched the first part on a TV monitor and the scenery seemed very vivid and clear, the snow-covered mountain peaks were also very beautiful 👍 So there is also this rural Japan with lots of greenery, nature and rice fields... and not just dense buildings with houses right next to the route like the Enoden line or like in many Japanese cities! What I noticed is: 1) Relatively many stops within a short period of time 2) a route with many short dips and inclines... I don't know that in Germany, for example: if necessary, the railway embankment is raised so high that the tracks are as flat as possible - even if there are inclines or declines These occur visually rather imperceptibly and very slowly... This line originally opened as a private railway, and has a history of being built as a means of transportation for local residents in their daily lives. This is probably the reason why there are so many slopes on railway lines. At the time of construction, the company's management foundation was weak. However, this is a common story on old railroads. There are no densely populated houses along this route. It's a pleasant route to ride.

I always hear people telling that nobody talks on the train in Japan. That might be true for Tokyo subway, but your videos show that Japanese trains can be very lively.😊 By the way, is the driver a trainee? There seems to be somebody telling a lot and I also spotted a second pair of white gloves 😊
You're right. The train driver was in the middle of his training, and a senior train driver was standing next to him, giving him detailed advice such as, ``There's a railroad crossing at the end of this curve.'' I think the skills and knowledge of professional drivers are amazing. Even in Japan, morning commuter trains are quiet, but afternoon trains are relaxing. It gets lively when two young girls stand behind the driver's cab. This is probably a common trend worldwide.
People don't talk to each other on the London Underground either. You can always tell who are tourists as they chatter to themselves. Typical of big cities world-wide I think. This trip, there is plenty to see and talk about though!
